About the site

I'm a passionate technologist with over 10 years of experience working in Linux, cloud computing, and DevOps environments. I started my career as a Linux system administrator, gaining deep expertise in distros like RedHat and Ubuntu. As the shift to the cloud gained momentum, I pivoted into DevOps and SRE roles where I designed, built, and managed large scale cloud platforms leveraging technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS.

In my most recent role as a DevOps Architect, I led a team of engineers to build a secure, resilient cloud platform serving over 50 million customers globally. We implemented modern practices like infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, log aggregation, and monitoring which allowed us to ship features faster and keep our massive-scale cloud stack up and running smoothly.

Outside of work, I run this blog where I love to geek out over new technologies, write tutorials, share Linux/cloud administration tips, cover the latest Docker releases, and evangelize best practices for operating distributed cloud native systems. My passion is helping teams unlock innovation through reliable, scalable systems and empowering them with knowledge around open source tools.

When I'm not blogging or building cloud platforms, you can find me trying to improve my chess game or getting out in nature with my camera. Please have a look around, I'm glad you're here!
